What does it cost?

Our prices are as follows (subject to availability)…

Single Dedicated desk @ $550+GST/month for one
Small Private Studio for 2 or 3 from $895+GST/month
Large Private Studio for 4 from $1850+GST/month
Large Private Studio for 6 from $1950+GST/month
Huge lockable studio for 10 with private street entrance and car park @ $3950+GST/month
Onsite Carparks available for $350+GST/month

Otherwise there is no sign-on fee (other than a one month bond which you’ll get back at the end of your lease) and no additional costs for meeting room hire.

What are the lease terms?

It’s a one month minimum lease for a desk or office space, after this it’s a month by month arrangement. There is a one month bond also, which you’ll get back once everything is ship-shape upon departure.

When can I use my space?

Tenants have access between the hours of 6am to 10pm seven days a week.

Is the space secure?

Yep, there is a swipe card entry and CCTV. Some studios are also lockable.

Is internet provided?

Yes, we have ethernet and Wifi onsite all pumped through a super fast dedicated fibre optic line.

Is there a printer provided?

No, but you’re welcome to provide your own.

Is there parking nearby?

Onsite carparks are available to lease (subject to availability). Otherwise there are metered street parks available and a few free spots ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

The nearest parking stations are a quick stroll away at the Homemaker Centre and RNA Showgrounds.

Is it ok to talk on the phone?

If you are on the phone all the time perhaps a shared space isn’t suitable for you, however making a regular amount of phone calls isn’t a problem.

Where can I get food and coffee?

There are a plethora of cafes and restaurants within 2 minutes walk, the closest is only a 2 minute walk away. Otherwise complimentary tea and espresso coffee is provided in the kitchen.

What transport options are nearby?

Buses from the city stop on Wickham Street Stop 8 and from there Lightspace is a two or three minute walk up Light Street.

The closest railway station is Brunswick Street which is 10 or 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes via taxi or Uber.

Do you offer hot desking?

Lightspace is for permanent tenants only however our sister space Prospect Studios is located just down the hill. They offer beautiful hot desks starting at $100+GST/month.

Are there any child care centres nearby?

We highly recommend Brookes Street Early Education. Located in a beautifully renovated heritage listed building (circa 1867) that served as the first Fortitude Valley School, this centre has a fantastic program and is located in the next street.

What furniture comes with a desk space or office?

Our desks come in various shapes and sizes, however all come with an ergonomic chair and desk caddy. Some desks also come with shelving, all have very generous personal space!
