Lightspace is a unique warehouse venue in Brisbane’s creative precinct of Fortitude Valley. With ample open areas, the venue can be booked as one large room or subdivided into smaller areas for more intimate functions. Each party has exclusive use as we never host two events at the same time.

Whether you’d like to dance the night away in a private space with your besties, or host your corporate event in a charming place sure to get the creative juices flowing- we’ve got you covered. Our converted warehouse oozes industrial character and the outside courtyard is a lovely green space perfect to relax.

Main Space

The Main Space (LS1) is fantastic for an exhibition, presentation or indulgent formal dinner. It features a wide, open expanse, industrial girders, timber roof and polished concrete floor.

For cocktail-style events capacity is 350, 250 for theatre-style or 200 for a sit-down function.

Bar Lounge

The Bar Lounge (LS2) is a furnished space and is perfect for cocktail parties, dinner events, smaller presentations, or anything requiring a relaxed lounge setting.

Its capacity is 120 guests cocktail-style, 100 theatre style or up to 60 guests for an intimate formal dinner.

Outdoor Terrace

The Outdoor Terrace adjoining LS2 features a bamboo hedge, water feature and an outlook toward the city skyline. Bordering the main railway line heading into the Valley it’s also a trainspotters’ delight.

Weddings

Brisbane’s perfect wedding venue for those seeking something a little different. Our unique combination of raw industrial and purpose-built design features create incredible spaces with limitless possibilities.
Lightspace can be configured in many different ways. Utilise one, or all three spaces and create a custom ceremony followed by your dream cocktail-style or sit-down reception experience.

Cocktail + Dinner Parties

Are you looking for an intimate venue for an engagement, birthday or celebratory soiree? Do you want the freedom to add your own unique touch?

Be the envy of your friends and hire Lightspace for that special occasion. We can configure the space to create an intimate event for 50 up to 350 guests. You may select the music and decorate the space. We’re also only a short hike to the Valley for those that want to kick on afterwards.

Launches

Looking for a professional venue with a point of difference? Lightspace offers total flexibility to create something unique, from product launches to corporate parties to full sit-down dinners. We have a team of recommended suppliers on hand to make your launch event memorable.

We have hosted events for Virgin, L’Oreal, Redken, Channels 7, 9 and 10, Lamborghini, Cartier, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Jeep, Honda, Bank of Qld, NAB, Stihl, Amnesty International, Sportsgirl, Witchery to name just a few.

Presentations

Impress your clients with a presentation in the warehouse. We offer special rates for mid-week and daytime events. Host an event with guest industry speakers at Lightspace.

We also have a sound system, projectors (fixed in both spaces) and microphone onsite, otherwise we can recommend specialist AV suppliers if you need additional equipment. 160 gorgeous bentwood chairs also come with the venue hire, perfect for a presentation in either the Bar Lounge or Main Space.

Workshops

We’re in the hub of Brisbane’s creative district, only a short scoot from the Valley, New Farm and the CBD and have become a destination for workshops and gatherings of all kinds.
Host an interactive event for your brand at Lightspace. We have in-venue AV equipment for keynote speakers, team building and professional development events.

Kids Parties

Does your little one have a special milestone coming up? We can host ice cream trucks, bouncy castles, special performers and lots of fun.  Adults can hang out at the bar while the kids run around in the large Main Space 1. Timings are typically 10am to 12pm on a Saturday or Sunday. The best news? You have exclusive use of the venue and there’s ample free street parking on the weekends.
