9 Ante Portas is an annual charity art event run by 9 women from the country. Â Nice to see a bit of the outback in the Valley, and all for a good cause!
Wow, what a great night! Â With different light installations from local artists dotted around the venue the Ten10 Exhibition certainly brought something different to Brisbane. Â Great to see this stuff happening, especially produced by some local lads and ladettes.
Nice little video of the recent Raleigh Paper Mohawk Roadshow Video by Camille Santiago
Raleigh Paper’s annual Mohawk Roadshow is a rare opportunity to put graphic design in the spotlight. Â With some beautiful design and printing on display, the creative folk of Brisbane were buzzing with excitement. Â A big thanks to Sora from Raleigh Paper for putting the show on the road.
Some very cool furniture pieces and portfolios were on display at the Fresh Meet Exhibition. Showcasing the hardwork of graduate students it featured unique solutions to design problems and some interesting use of recycled materials. A big thanks to the install team who worked like Trojans making everything look beautiful, and an even bigger thanks for leaving us all those cupcakes!
Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art hosted their two day graduate exhibition at Lightspace. The next wave of Brisbane’s design talent was on show with hundreds of student portfolios to flick through. With some Brisbane design heavyweights in the room it was a fantastic chance to view some innovative new ideas with a chilled glass of vino in hand.
A little bit of the country came to Lightspace with the 9 Ante Portas art and photography exhibition.  Raising money for the North Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service a big crowd turned up to purchase the works and raise money for a worthy charity.
400 guests, 160 displays, a whole lot of incredible design marked a tremendous night for the graduate exhibition of QCA design students. Guest attendees including Alexander Lotersztain, Brian Steendyk and our very own Lightspace design guru Dan Pike. Fantastic to see the design future of Brisbane is in good hands with an incredible array of products, furniture and graphic design put on by the students. Congratulations to the commitee for pulling off a very successful event.
