9 artists from the country are holding an exhibition at Lightspace during Ekka week.Â It’s a gold coin donation and all proceeds are going to the North Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service.Â We’re just around the corner from the Ekka so pop on in to appreciate some beautiful art, preferably before eating a dagwood dog and jumping on theÂ rides in Sideshow Alley.
Roger D’Souza has a desk in Lightspace Studios.Â He was recently commissioned by Urban Art Projects to photograph the public artwork they designed for World Expo in Shanghai.Â
UAP designed seven large scale public artworks situated at various entry points within World Expo which is visited by 500,000 people daily.
While in Shanghai Roger also shot jobs for other Australian clients such as Conybeare Morrison, Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, Queensland Government as well as Shanghai local menswear boutique Aegis which was designed by German firm COORDINATION.

An incredible video production and dramatic car chase entrance certainly stamped the wow factor on the Flight Centre AIR Force awards evening.Â With a James Bond theme throughout the venue, acrobats twirlingÂ from the ceiling and a cabaretÂ style dinnerÂ set-up the crew partied the night away in fine style.Â Kudos to CI Events for organising such a classy soiree.
