Abu Dhabi Tourism Evening

A wonderful evening was had as 100 guests came to sample the exotic tourism wares of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  Below are images of the venue looking fabulous with a beautiful set-up organised by Great Southern Events, including an Arabian souk marketplace, outdoor shisha on the terrace and presentations including anything from luxury hotels to desert nature parks.  It was enough to make anyone jump on a plane immediately.

We’re looking for an events coordinator- know anyone amazing?

Event Bookings/Marketing/Management/PR- Lightspace
shadow
Lightspace is an exciting new exhibition and function venue in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.  Hatched from a converted warehouse its features include lofty designed spaces, rustic industrial chic and an outdoor terrace with views across the city skyline.

We are looking for a new marketing and events coordinator to push the profile of the venue and organise bookings.  This very diversified position involves booking events for clients as well as creating in-house events from scratch.  These could be anything from art exhibitions to music gigs to corporate functions with complicated production values.  There’s never a dull moment!

Working directly with the Managing Director the successful applicant will have a proven history of event marketing, creation and management.  An intelligent, discerning attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes for an event to succeed will be essential.  You should have a range of contacts in the arts, music and/or corporate fields.  Marketing or sales experience would be an advantage, especially with social media.  You must have a proactive, imaginative approach to event organisation with an eye for detail.  Most important is to have an understanding of the Lightspace ethos, which seeks to bring something unique to the cultural mix of Brisbane.

There is flexibility in working arrangements and hours as this is likely to be a commission based position depending on the successful applicant.  We also offer a beautiful office environment with other creatives in the studios upstairs.  For details of the venue please visit lightspace.net.au.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Southbank Tafe Photo Exhibition

Around three hundred photogenic specimens enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Southbank Tafe student exhibition.  Some very cool imagery with the topic of ‘Secrets’ was on display.  Big thanks to the volunteer production crew who worked like trojans hanging the pieces.  It looked fabulous!

Pop-up fashion nights @ Lightspace studios

The girls from Jeselle PR have regular sales nights for the designers on their roster.  There’s bubbly, music and fashionable people generally having fun in the beautiful Lightspace studios.  Oh and there’s also some exclusive dresses, shoes, jackets and other things you won’t find at the local boutique.  If you’d like to pop along befriend them on facebook.  While you’re at it befriend Lightspace also!

Raleigh Paper Mohawk Show
